Compared to our children, I am computer illiterate. I surf the internet and use e-mail extensively, but I have never learned the how or why of a computer. I accidentally found your web while I was surfing and decided to print Module 1a. That is best explanation of the binary number system that I have encountered. So I am back for more and presently printing the next module. I know it will be as enlightening and will be back for more after I study it. Thank you so much for this service. Sincerely, Lynn Wallin

Hello Mike; Jerry here. Been using computers for the past ten years. Doing a lot of reading and trying. Been on the net for about four months. (no local numbers) I spend around 30 to 40 hours on the net each week. Mostly on the computer tech pages and the on line auction houses. I gained more useable information from your site this weekend. I could not beleive all the information found there. You are a great communionicator. (I am a very poor speller) I want to thak you for all the time and effort you have put into your home page. This is a great website--I love it already. You see, I am a graphic designer and I also want to get into webdesign. However, I would love to know more about computers and how they work. Problem: Nobody can teach effectively from the ground up without making it too simplistic, boring, or unapplicable. Or they assume that you know things that they take for granted and its hard to bridge the gaps in knowledge. This site presents everything I am looking to learn in direct and applicable manner.

Excellent - very informative plus understandable to a technical novice such as myself. I would have liked to see some examples of hardward - specifically external CD-rom drives, as my home machine only takes floppy disks. We are interested in using a few of your modules in a grade 12 computer course. This course may be sold to some other districts for their use. Do you have any objections to us using some of the material?

Thank you so much for your easy to use and informative pages. I am an intuitive computer techie (in other words, I know how to do stuff but I don't know what anything is called) and found your setup the best I've used yet. Thanks again!!

I have wanted to learn more about the PC, but in most reading material I tended to start yawning before too long because most of what I was reading was putting me to sleep. Thank you for breaking that habit. Your writings, to me, are very easy and don't get bogged down. You seem to know when to move on. You do a good job of whetting the appetite for more, and I might add, more of your writings. Thank you for having me in mind while you were writting this.
