A protocol, which can transfer information in web-like format to mobil phones and PDAs with limited bandwith and reduced user interface (no keyboard).
The information is stored in WAP servers and written in WML (Wireless Markup Language).
In late 1999 WAP was the big issue in the press. Everyone was expected to wap around everywhere. We have to wait a few years to see the impact of the technique. However, some use within homebanking systems and online scheduling should be expected.
