Windows Driver Model.

A type of hardware drivers which are common for both Windows 98 and NT. The driver specification works with four classes: Stream (Video, audio, DVD, etc.), HID (keyboard, mouse, joystick, etc), USB, and IEE1394). WDM does not include hardware such as the video card.
