Compact Flash. RAM modules, which retain their contents without power consumption. Is used especially in digital cameras and small hand held PDAs. They are available in sizes up to 320 MB.

Contrary to an item like IBM's mini hard disks, FlashRAM has no moving parts, making it well suited for any type of portable equipment.
