Chapter 30. Get a counter for the pageI have often been asked how you put a “counter” on your home page. The counter is a small box that shows hat tells how many visitors you have had on your home page. I use a CGI based counter (see Figure 74 on page 174), which runs on my Internet provider’s server. But if you don’t have access to that, the easiest is to download a counter from the net. On the home page for this book you find a link to www.thecounter.com. There you can easily subscribe to a counter
You ought to try that. Once you subscribe you get a HTML code that you can copy into your own home page:
